Will This Filter Work in for Me?

Steadfast Equipment cannot guarantee that the Disposable Rotary Drum Filter will operate adequately in your application. The usefulness of this device can only be determined by testing by the user. Fortunately, many of our potential customers may be able to do some preliminary testing of their slurry solutions to increase the potential of our equipment operating adequately.

There are a number of sources that outline testing methods that can be used to help determine the properties of your specific slurry to see what its filtration properties are. Two good references are:

  • Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook, 7th Ed., "Filtration", pp. 18-74 to 18-105
  • Handbook of Separation Techniques for Chemical Engineers, Philip A. Schweitzer, pp. 4-3 to 4-54.

The Disposable Rotary Drum Filter is a single use device, and is designed to operate in most cases for a total of 8 hours. Because of the wide range of applications that this product may be used in, this device may fail to operate satisfactorily before this 8-hour timeframe has expired. It is the user's, not Steadfast Equipment's, responsibility to determine the suitability of this device for your specific application.
